Notice of Collection of Personal Information and Consent

This notice is to inform all applicants applying either through www.tomorrow-makers.in or through WhatsApp to the Godrej Tomorrow Makers ("Program") that their Personal Information as populated by them in the application form to the Program shall be collected, stored, processed, and used by Godrej Foundation ("Godrej Foundation"/ "we") for the purposes as set out in this notice. Where guardians/parents of minors are populating the application form on behalf of minor applicants, such guardians/parent(s) are hereby put on notice that their Personal Data may also be collected, stored, and processed by Godrej Foundation for the purposes of verifying their relationship with the minor applicant and their identity.

Personal Information

"Personal Information or Data" means any data about an individual who is identifiable by or in relation to such data and in the context of the Program shall include the following information provided by the applicant in the application form:

  • Identity details: Name, date of birth, gender, guardian/parent(s) details (for minors).
  • Contact details: Mobile number, email address, postal address.
  • Educational details: Academic records, certificates, intended course of study.
  • Other information: Any personal identifiable data you voluntarily provide in the application form.

Purpose

Godrej Foundation processes your personal data based on your consent and for legitimate purposes. We process your personal data for the following specified purposes:

Application Assessment

To assess your eligibility and evaluate your application for selection as a candidate for the Program and sponsorship benefits.

Program Administration

To provide financial support, scholarships, and other Program benefits to selected candidates, including disbursement and tracking of funds.

Communication and Engagement

To maintain contact with you for Program updates, notifications about your application status, future cohort opportunities, replacement opportunities, and program-related communications.

Verification and Due Diligence

To verify the identity and credentials of applicants and their guardians/parent(s) (where applicable) to ensure Program integrity.

Legal Compliance

To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and statutory obligations under Indian law.

Data Sharing with Service Providers

To share your Personal Data with authorized third parties and service providers (such as WhatsApp chatbot providers and partnering agencies assisting with implementation of the Program including agencies administering exams in relation to the Program) on a need-to-know basis, solely for the purpose of administering the Program and delivering program-related services.

Retention: Your Personal Data will be retained and used for contacting you with future opportunities and for sharing learning materials.

Your Rights

You are entitled to exercise the following rights in relation to your Personal Data held by Godrej Foundation:

Right to Access

You have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether your personal data is being processed by Godrej Foundation and to access a summary of your personal data along with the identities of all other parties with whom your Personal Data has been shared.

Right to Correction and Updating

You have the right to request correction of any inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or outdated personal data concerning you.

Right to Erasure

You have the right to request deletion or erasure of your personal data, subject to legal obligations and retention requirements under applicable laws. Godrej Foundation may retain certain data where required by law or for legitimate purposes such as ongoing program administration or legal compliance.

Right to Withdraw Consent

You have the right to withdraw such consent at any time. However, withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal and may affect your ability to participate in or receive benefits under the Program.

Right to Nominate

You have the right to nominate any other individual to exercise your rights, in the event of your death or incapacity.

Right to Grievance Redressal

You have the right to lodge a complaint with Godrej Foundation's Grievance Officer (contact details provided below) regarding any grievance related to the processing of your Personal Data. If you are not satisfied with the resolution provided by the Grievance Officer, you have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

Declaration and Consent

I confirm that the personal data provided by me is true, accurate, complete and updated, and that I will be solely responsible for the consequences of any errors or omissions in, or delays in providing, such data.

I, the undersigned, hereby declare and confirm that: (i) I am 18 years of age or above; (ii) I have read and understood the above Notice of Collection of Personal Information and Data; and (iii) I voluntarily consent to the collection, processing, use, storage, and disclosure of my personal data by Godrej Foundation in accordance with the terms of this consent form and for the purposes specified in the Notice.

For Minor Applicants

I/We, the undersigned, being the lawful guardian(s)/parent(s) of the minor applicant hereby declare and confirm that: (i) I/we have the legal authority to provide consent on behalf of the minor; (ii) I/we have read and understood the above Notice of Collection of Personal Information and Data; (iii) I/we confirm that the personal data provided in respect of the minor applicant and myself/ourselves is true, accurate, complete and updated; (iv) I/we will be solely responsible for the consequences of any errors or omissions in, or delays in providing, such data; and (vi) I/we voluntarily consent to the collection, processing, use, storage, and disclosure of the minor's personal data and my/our personal data (to the extent provided) by Godrej Foundation in accordance with the terms of this consent form and for the purposes specified in the Notice.
